If a player makes a mistake on the field I am not going to yell at him.  I let him deal with the mistake initially.  But I will pull him and talk with him to help him refocus.  I put him right back in the game. (more…)

Craig Ewing has led the St Thomas Aquinas High School Boy’s Soccer Team to the 1994 and 2009 National Championship and 14 Kansas High School State Championships. He has also coached the St Thomas Aquinas Girl’s Soccer team to 11 Kansas High School State Championships

John Bisswurm has led Catholic Memorial High School Boy’s soccer team to twenty Wisconsin Division II state semi-final appearances since 1983. They have won three state championships and been runner-up five times.

Kids can tell how much a coaching staff puts into something and that creates the expectation level for the kids. So it is the hard work, dedication, and willingness of the coaches to go as far as we expect kids to go.

Two things we stress are dedication and consistency.  That has been our approach from day one thirty-one years ago. (more…)
