Jeff Starkey has led St Henry High School in Ohio to six state championships and two runner-up finishes. They currently have about 500 boys in grades K-12. St Henry has developed four professional athletes.

I honestly believe this generation of young people is missing things that the previous generations possessed that made this country great. My grandfather was the hardest working man I ever met, and my dad was the same way. When times were tough they persevered with a great attitude.

Good teams have more leaders than just the captains. All of our successful teams have had a strong senior class. To develop that leadership we put players in positions where they have to lead a group in order to be successful.

“There are players out there that could probably compete at the highest level but don’t because they won’t work. I don’t care how gifted you are, you will not reach the highest level because you’re a great athlete.  You have to perform and execute at the highest level.
